Connect GoCardless (SEPA direct debit)

Enable SEPA direct debit on NoCode.shop by connecting GoCardless. Perfect for recurring subscriptions in Europe with lower fees.

What is GoCardless?

GoCardless is a SEPA direct debit processor. Where Stripe handles cards, GoCardless debits your customers’ bank accounts directly.

Perks: fees often lower than card payments, no card expiration headaches, great for recurring subscriptions. The catch: settlement takes 2–5 business days, slower than cards.

Step 1: Go to payment settings

Head to Settings → Payment in your dashboard. Below the Stripe section, you’ll find GoCardless with a Connect GoCardless button.

Step 2: Authorize GoCardless

Click Connect GoCardless. You’re redirected to GoCardless to create an account or sign into an existing one.

GoCardless asks for: your business info, address, and an IBAN to receive funds. Verification usually takes 1–2 business days.

When to pick GoCardless over Stripe

GoCardless shines for:

  • Recurring subscriptions: no card expiration risk, fewer failed payments.
  • European customers: SEPA covers the Eurozone, EEA, and the UK.
  • High-value payments: direct debit fees are often cheaper than card fees for big amounts.

Stripe is still better for one-time payments, non-European customers, or when fast settlement matters.

Using Stripe and GoCardless together

You can enable both at the same time. Customers choose at checkout: card (Stripe) or SEPA direct debit (GoCardless).

Orders and payments are unified in your NoCode.shop dashboard, regardless of which gateway was used.
