Subscription features
Configure subscription features on NoCode.shop: base options, add-ons, product editor setup, and customer portal display.
What are subscription features?
Subscription features are characteristics tied to a recurring product that define what the subscriber gets. Each feature can be an access level, a quota, a service, or a piece of your offer.
They let you structure your subscription offers granularly: a base product with optional add-ons, or different service tiers.
Base features vs. add-ons
Two types:
- Base features — included in the main product. Every subscriber gets them automatically.
- Add-on features — extras the customer can bolt on. Usually at an additional cost.
Example: an online course sub could include course access (base) plus coaching or certifications (add-ons).
Configure features
Features are set up in the product editor:
- Go to Products and open the product
- In the features section, add what you want tied to this subscription
- For each feature, set a name, description, and optionally an extra price
- Save
Features show on the product page at checkout and in the customer portal after subscribing.
Display in the customer portal
Once subscribed, customers see their active features in their private portal. They know exactly what their sub covers.
If add-ons are available that they haven’t grabbed yet, those may show as upgrade options.
Typical use cases
Some examples:
- SaaS tiers — Starter (5 users), Pro (25 users), Enterprise (unlimited) where each tier unlocks more features
- Online courses — base course access + coaching, certification, VIP community add-ons
- Subscription boxes — standard box + customization options (size, preferences)
- Recurring services — maintenance plan + priority support, monthly reports
